Howell, MI – Livingston County Catholic Charities (LCCC) is calling on the community to join
its annual Christmas Blessing Project, a heartwarming initiative that provides essential supplies
and support to local low income and homebound seniors in need.
The Christmas Blessing Project provides local seniors with essential items such as food, cleaning
products, hygiene products, paper products, and a Christmas gift. These supplies can make a
significant difference in the lives of seniors who may be facing financial hardship or have limited
mobility.
The winter months can be particularly challenging for vulnerable seniors who face higher utility
costs, limiting their ability to purchase food or essential medications. Additionally, many seniors
experience feelings of loneliness and isolation during this time. The Christmas Blessing Project
provides a much-needed boost of joy and support, offering not only essential supplies but also
friendly visits and a sense of community.
Last year, LCCC successfully served 311 seniors in Livingston County through the Christmas
Blessings Project. The project was a resounding success, thanks to the generosity of the
community. This year, LCCC aims to surpass these numbers and provide even more support to
seniors in need.
LCCC is seeking donations and volunteers to help ensure the success of this year’s project. This
year LCCC is offering a special option to Sponsor a Senior. For $150 YOU can sponsor a local
senior’s entire blessings box. Every dollar donated helps and will go directly towards purchasing
supplies and supporting the distribution efforts.
If you prefer to donate items or host a donation drive, please deliver all items to Livingston
County Catholic Charities by 11/18 at 2020 Grand River Ave. Ste 104 Howell, MI 48843.
