The Fantasy of Lights Parade, proudly presented by Acrisure and Auto-Owners Insurance, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Fantasy of Lights Parade Committee is excited to announce Tony Poma, beloved owner of Tony’s Dogs, as the 2024 Grand Marshal. The parade will take place on November 29th, continuing the tradition of bringing holiday joy to families across Livingston County.
Tony Poma is a well-known and cherished figure in Howell. With his unique hot dog stand, Tony is a staple at every local festival and event. On weekdays, you can find him serving his famous hot dogs in the parking lot of ACE Hardware on Grand River in downtown Howell. His friendly personality and warm presence have made him a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why the community holds him in such high regard.
The Fantasy of Lights Committee chose Tony as this year’s Grand Marshal in recognition of his love for and dedication to the Howell community. His enthusiasm and commitment to bringing smiles to people’s faces make him the perfect choice to lead this year’s milestone parade.

His warmth and spirit reflect the essence of our community,” said Janelle Smith, President of the Howell Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to seeing Tony lead the way as we celebrate the magic of the holiday season.”
The Fantasy of Lights Parade is the ideal way to kick off the holiday season in Howell. Festivities begin at 3:30 PM on State Street, with family-friendly activities including letters and photos with Santa, music, and vendors along the Peppermint Path. The Fantasy 5K runners are encouraged to participate in a costume contest starting at 5:30 PM in front of the library, and the 5k Kicks off at 6 pm. Walkers can also participate in the holiday fun and sign up for a 1-mile walk that kicks off at 6:05 pm, followed by the parade at 7:00 PM. We Christmas Around the World.”
This year’s theme, Christmas Around the World, chosen by the parade committee offers a wonderful opportunity for parade participants to showcase how different cultures celebrate the holiday season, adding to the magic of this lighted procession. Led by Grand Marshal Tony Poma, the parade promises to be a spectacular event for all to enjoy.
