HOWELL – The Howell, Hartland and Greater Brighton Area Chambers of Commerce are joining forces to create the Livingston County Chamber Alliance (LCCA). “Working together we can deliver more impactful programming for our respective members,” said Pam McConeghy, President and CEO of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce. “This alliance will increase the scope and exposure for all of our members.”
The motto of the new alliance is “Advancing Business Together.”
The LCCA is excited to launch the “Changing the Game,” Speaker Series in 2022. The launching sponsor is Lake Trust Credit Union.
“We want to give our members a series that addresses the key issues facing our region and economy. We know the impact on our members and businesses and we want to help work toward solutions,” said Janelle Best, President of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We are excited to be a part of this dynamic collaboration and know that it will provide important perspectives to help our members continue to thrive,” said Katie Chuba, Executive Director of the Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce.
The five-part speaker series will be at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center and begins with The Stand-up Economist Dr. Elliott Eisenberg presenting “Economy 2022 – What the Future Holds,” Jan. 26, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Other topics in the series will include: “Workforce Development and Attainable Housing” (Feb. 23); “Economic development and Community Infrastructure” (April 27); Sarah Cohen, Chief Engineer for EV Intelligent Charging Systems presents, “Electric Vehicles – Driving the Future of Our Communities.” (July 27); and concludes for the season with Michigan native and Jet Blue co-founder Mike Barger speaking about “Crisis Leadership.” The final session will also include break-out sessions to identify opportunities for the future of our local economy.
Collectively the Livingston County Chamber Alliance series represents 1700 businesses in Livingston Co. and throughout southeast Michigan.
